Alexa is at her core a woman who serves others. Not only is this reflected in her training and education, but also in the natural empathy she shows others. Alexa graduated from Montana State University (MSU) in Bozeman with a Master of Science degree in Health and Human Development-Mental Health Counseling. She has a special interest in individuals who experience troubled relationships with food, eating, and body image. In May of 2020, during pandemic lockdown, Alexa gave birth to her son and has since experienced postpartum depression (PPD). Through her own challenges as a new mom with PPD, she became interested in further educating herself about perinatal mood and anxiety disorders through Postpartum Support International and Seleni Institute. Alexa is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), and has completed her certification as a postpartum doula (CPD). She is passionate about supporting new mothers as they journey into a new phase life with a little one.
