Meet Kelli...

Kelli began her journey supporting others through life events in college when her friends would ask her to be with them as they got their first tattoos. Not an isolated event, she would later realize this was her initiation into being a doula! Kelli completed her studies at Indiana University in Psychology, Sociology, and Anthropology, and headed to Montana where she spent several years working in executive roles for non-profit organizations. At the invitation of a friend, Kelli supported her during the birth of her daughter and felt pulled toward this kind of loving service. That was in November of 2005. It would be 2013 before Kelli would enter into professional training to become a certified doula. Until that time, she supported women informally through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, most of whom were friends and family. Kelli is now a Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula, a Certified Lactation Counselor, and has trained with StillBirthday, Sacred Pregnancy, and BirthMama. She is a wife to an artist and mother to five children on earth and three in heaven.

Meet Jessica...

Jessica found herself propelled into the birthing field based on her own journey into motherhood, breastfeeding difficulties, and recurrent losses. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Within Jessica's coursework, she fell in love with pediatrics and realized that there was more to applying focus on the child, but the entire family as well. She found herself wanting her own family at this time and became pregnant. She delivered her son, Lincoln, via cesarean birth. An unexpected, but memorable experience. Breastfeeding difficulties ensued. With hard work and dedication, Jessica and her son were able to restore their breastfeeding relationship. Deeply moved by the experience, she vowed that she would help as many women as she could who might be struggling like she did. Jessica soon found herself in the world of birthing and loving it! She began training with Doula Trainings International to become a birth and postpartum doula, and received her certification in February 2017. During her training, she sadly suffered a pregnancy loss at 18 weeks. Through her grief, Jessica found comfort in educating herself on miscarriage, fetal diagnosis, stillbirth, and loss soon after birth. She became certified as a bereavement doula with StillBirthday. Jessica is devoted to assisting women and their families through their own, varied journeys, instilling comfort and strength in whatever they may face.

Meet Ashley...

How do you keep a moment and a memory? Like all you parents out there, I’m always wanting to bottle up all the sweet essence of life with my family. Especially my two adorable children. (Especially for those days when said children are being extra ‘spicy’…) Becoming an expert in preserving your piece of forever was something that spoke to me. After a photo degree from MSU and years of dedicated work, Ashley Dawn Photography became established and known for being the premier luxury baby and family photography studio for the Gallatin Valley. Unlike many photographers around, I take pride in focusing on the whole client experience and follow a process that really allows me to make sure that families get something they love from their sessions that they wouldn’t be able to have otherwise. I am seriously a sentimental sap. I love families and babies and the sweet smiles, the little giggles, and the bear hugs that tie families together. My heart melts when mommas cry as they see the photos of their precious new bundle and when daddies start tickle wars that bring out the most adorable laughs from their 4 year olds.  When grandparents stand proud with their grandkids and tell me about how much more fun it is to be grandma than mom. This is what it’s all about. Photographs are not a piece of paper or a file on your computer. They are your kids, your parents, your pets- captured as a keepsake for generations to come. Trust Ashley to be the one to connect with you and to preserve those moments and memories so that you can keep them forever.
