Mother Blessing Ceremony

The special practice of women honoring women as they prepare for birth, journey into motherhood, or transition into life with a newborn is a rare, but growing trend. More and more women have come to understand the value in giving this period in life the attention it deserves. Unlike traditional baby showers, the focus of a Mother Blessing is on the expectant or new mother, her feelings around birth and motherhood, her excitement and her trepidation. The ceremony is intended to deepen the emotional connection with the women in your own circle, those that have come before you and those present in your life now. This loving support builds a foundation of strength for the expectant or new mother to welcome birth and motherhood with clarity, calm, and confidence.

Care Includes:

  • 1 planning / preparation session (1 hour)

  • personalized ceremony outline

  • participant organization

  • gathering of materials for ceremony

  • facilitation of ceremony (3 hours)

  • keepsakes to honor the experience

Ceremony May Include: spiritual or cultural practices of your choosing - mother support items - facilitation of meals for postpartum - creating items for baby - notes of encouragement for labor and motherhood - sharing of wisdom - blessings for mother - in person and virtual / remote options for those outside of the immediate area - creating space for connection throughout pregnancy and into postpartum -
